I have a special place in my heart for trees. And I have had powerful interactions with them through the years. This tree lives at a car rest stop on I-5 in Washington State, just south of Olympia. One day driving north from Portland I stopped for a bit. I was drawn to go sit on the U shaped branch and enjoy the presence of the tree. There was such a powerful transmission from the tree that I sat there for about 1 hr basking in its energy. Who would have thought that in such a mundane place as a rest stop, this tree would gift me such energy.
The tree in the heading above is from Delphi, Greece. As you can tell this tree is very old. Delphi is a power and mystical spot on Earth. This tree embodied that energy of mystery, Spirit and the Divine Feminine. To be in her presence was an incredible blessing.
As I have thought about my tree stories, there have been many, more than I thought until I started to list them.
Wildest tree in the world
One of my experiences are with the two tall trees below – from a grove of fir, cedar and hemlocks in the Mt. Rainier National Park. The grove is called the Grove of the Patriarchs. I think it is miss named but nonetheless, these are powerful beings, over 1000 years old. I could have stayed with them for hours. The energy emanating from these trees was palpable. I was so in awe of them. They absolutely made my day!
And closer to home, in the park around the corner from my house is the tall cedar tree below. I had a delightful time under her span of lace like branches one day on a walk around the park.
The sense of connection is so impressive being with a tree. They are so much more than just a tree in the worldly sense. One of their functions is to hold the middle way energetically for humans so we don’t spin out as far as would be if they weren’t here for us. Their mostly straight form mirrors our energetic core. They connect on the subtle realms with trees all over the world. We grossly underestimate their value and importance to the web of life on Earth.
Trees have brought such joy to me throughout my lifetime and in this weekend of remembering what we are grateful for, I remember and thank the trees.
